In the beginning of 20th century, with the dynamic disclosure trends outweighed in psychology, firstly psychiatry is affected by this situation, then, neurology turned into reflexology and moved away from brain. This artificial weathering lasted for almost 70 years, and the usage of imaging techniques did lay the groundwork for these fields to come closer.

The Cooperation of Neurology, Psychiatry And Psychology

Recently neurology continues its approach with behavioral neurology, psychiatry with biological psychiatry and psychology with experimental and cognitive psychology; so, the brain is becoming the common ground and interest of these 3 fields.  This development has gained ideal ground in Turkey with NP GROUP.

Patients are examined by all three branches of science, and the results are evaluated in common case meetings and consultations. Such kind of coordination brings the success of early and accurate diagnosis. For example; in elderly patients with symptoms of depression the possibility of Alzheimer's disease and in similar age group with symptoms of behavioral disorders the possibility of Frontotemporal Dementia are routinely evaluated, and additionally neuropsychological tests are applied.

By comparing the results of story and tests with the results of QEEG / Brain mapping and MR, ideal diagnosis is achieved in terms of Brain Check-up.
