Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive neurological illness which causes disruption in the functioning of mental processes. This disease causes problems with memory, speaking, finding direction, recognizing people, behavior, and the ability to perform daily activities. What is often referred to as "senility" among the public in actuality is Alzheimer's Disease. A periodic control of neural functions is important in obtaining an early diagnosis and treatment for this disease before it worsens. A periodic control consists of a neurological test of: memory, skills/abilities, attention and orientation as well as a mental health consultation and a depression scale.
