NP Group is established to improve the mental health level of the society, to find solutions for their mental health problems, to provide care for inpatients and outpatients and to ensure service through methods and conditions required by modern science. In 1998, we started working by adding brain mapping to standard EEG, Neuro-Biofeedback computerized clinical tests, and computerized training modules to diagnostic and treatment programs.
Firstly, on May 25th, 1999 we started the Turkey Branch of Memory Centers of America in Istanbul Bağdat Street with the attendance of Turkish President Süleyman Demirel. Memory Center that realized the first “Brain Check-up” and “Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation” in Turkey serves with its team of experts and new treatment methods since then.
On October 3rd, 2000, we added Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit to our services with attendance of Wernon Wells the Head of Memory Centers of America. We were happy to be the pioneer of new treatment approaches like “Treatment by measuring brain functions” and “Thought-oriented Medicine”. We continued to bring multidisciplinary approach by combining neurology, psychiatry and psychology to Turkey.
In February 2003 in Feneryolu, we opened Adult Neurology and Psychiatry Center in a 5-storey building, and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit in the house behind that building.
In November 2006, we started to use Functional and Volumetric MRI techniques.
On March 20th, 2007 with attendance of Parliament Speaker Mr Bulent Arınç, we opened NPISTANBUL Neuropsychiatry Hospital being the first hospital in its field.
In June 2009, we opened Turkey’s first Clinical Pharmacogenetic Laboratory in Neuropsychiatry. Finally on August 10th, 2009 in NPISTANBUL Etiler Polyclinic we started to serve with Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Sleep Disorders Unit, and Neurology and Internal Medicine.
